Here is a map of the places that our traveling buddy will visit this year.  I will need your help.  On weekends the buddies we receive will need to have a place to sleep.  Be looking for a sign up sheet so your child can take home a buddy from another classroom that comes to visit us this year.  Cali will be our buddy this year.  Cali is a little bear from California.  There is a picture of Cali under slideshow and we will be adding many others as buddies visit our room.

The traveling buddy program is similiar to a Flat Stanley project.  I have connected with 8 teachers from all over the USA and we all have a buddy ( stuffed animal ).  We will mail our buddy and info about our home state as well as letters, journals and pictures from kids in our room to these other classrooms this year.  We will in turn be receiving this from them as well.  What a fun way to get to know kids from all over the USA and develop our letter writing skills. ( which happens to be a state standard :) ).  Your child will LOVE this program.

Lola the Lion has arrived!!! She came 10/1 and we were so happy to meet her!!!  Be looking for pictures that I will be posting on the website.
